Theodore Lee Pifer, 76, of Cherry Grove, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Cambridge Warren.
Ted was born December 18, 1944, in Punxsutawney, PA, the son of the late Martin and Elsie Shepler Pifer. He was a 1962 graduate of Reynoldsville, Sykesville High School. He served two years in the U.S. Army and was an Army Reservist. He was stationed in Anchorage Alaska when the devastating earthquake took place there. Ted was a gentleman farmer and kept an interesting variety of several animals through the years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting out west. He accomplished the Triple Trophy in PA.
Ted is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn K. Pifer, whom he married on July 31, 1965; two children, Darren (Deanna) Pifer of Warren, Jody (Larry) Blankenship of Kane; two sisters, Diane (Mike) of Indiana, PA., Nancy Yohe of Hermitage, Pa; sister-in-law Donna Pifer of Morgantown, VA.; four grandchildren, David and Matthew Blankenship, Darren and Amanda Pifer; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Pifer; two brothers-in-law; Delbert Yohe and Gwynne Dean.
Services will be Private and at the convenience of the family.
