Ruth Marie VanOrd

Ruth Marie VanOrd, 61, of Russell, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at her residence. Ruth was born on June 27, 1961, in Kiser, WV, the daughter of the late James Davis and Leona Cross Davis. Ruth was a Nurse’s Aid for 15 years at Cambridge Warren. She attended the Scandia Church and loved farming and her family. She will long be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Ruth is survived by her husband, Orrie W. VanOrd, whom she married in 1977; children Justin W. VanOrd and companion Miranda of Warren, PA, Orrie J. VanOrd of Scandia,PA, Ashley VanOrd and fiancé Scott Wagner of Warren, PA; grandchildren Hannah Dawn Cobb, and Abel David Wagner; sister Kathy Davis; several nieces and nephews; god- daughter Amy Robinault; and best friend Carmen Card. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by daughter, Gloria VanOrd, who passed in 2007; brother James Davis; and infant sister, Justina VanOrd. Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Penna Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, at which time a funeral service will be held, with Reverend James Swanson, pastor, Pleasant Community Church, officiating.
