Robert M. “Bob” Groetzinger Jr., 84, of Warren, PA, passed away at home on Saturday, March 18, 2023, with his loving family at his side. Bob was born on July 28, 1938, in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Robert M. Groetzinger Sr. and Ruth E. Miller Groetzinger. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1974, and was a mechanic for the Phantom F4B, having served in Vietnam.
Bob was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the V.F.W. in Tidioute, PA. Bob also enjoyed hunting, golfing, and fishing.
Bob was survived by his daughters, Victoria Groetzinger of Erie, PA, Teresa Sledzinski of Erie, PA, Christina Groetzinger of Warren, PA, and Patricia Bessetti of Erie, PA; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, Colson; sister, Ruth Crittenden of Naples, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Margaret “Peggy” Vars Groetzinger; and grandson, Ron Duckett.
Services for Bob will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions can be made to Brokenstraw Fish and Game Club, Mead Run Rd., Youngsville, PA, and A Safe Place, 210 North St. Suite C, Warren, PA.
