Phillip J Colvin

Phillip J. Colvin, 92, of Warren, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Warren General Hospital. Phillip was born June 12, 1930, in Warren, Pa, the son of the late Christopher and Pauline (Maze) Colvin. He was a 1948 graduate of Warren Area High School. He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army from 1952-1953 and was injured while serving in the Korean War. He was a mailing manager at Blair Corporation for 42 years. He was a very active member of the First Church of God. Phillip is survived by his children, Kerry Colvin and wife Chris of Winter Garden, FL, Ginger Morgan and husband Darrell of New Kensington, PA, and Penny Chaffee and husband Ed of Russell, PA; grandchildren, Christopher Colvin, Katie Colvin, Shawn Morgan, and Darrell Morgan; five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Martin of Warren, and Donna Tutaro of Warren, PA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death on April 5, 2012, by his wife, Helen L. Colvin, whom he married on November 26, 1955; siblings, Phyllis Rosendale, Janice Cowles, Diane Tyler, Tom Colvin, and Jack Colvin. Friends will be received at the First Church of God, 1111 Madison Ave, Warren, PA, on Friday, January 13, 2023, from 10:00am to 11:30am, at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Bill Hargenrader, officiating.
