Nora Daubenspeck Obituary

Nora Jane Daubenspeck, 73, of Warren, PA, and formerly of Tionesta, PA, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, PA. Nora was born May 11, 1950, in Tionesta, PA, the daughter of the late Ralph Clinton and Emily (Mehaffey) Daubenspeck. She was a graduate of West Forest High School. She was a 1972 graduate of Westminster College. She also took classes at Edinboro, Penn State, Bloomsburg, and Clarion. She was a third-grade schoolteacher for Warren County School District for 35 years. From 1972-1975 she taught at Starbrick, from 1976-2005, she taught at Jefferson, and from 2006-2007, she taught at WAEC. Nora was a member of the First United Methodist Church from 1972-2018. She was on the Education and worship committee, the Creativity Circle, and the Floral Designer for twelve years. She was also a member of the P.T.A., the Association of College Women, Delta Kappa Gamma, the Art League, Warren Retired Teachers, Warren General Hospital Auxiliary Board, Crary Proctor for art gallery, Library Theater Concert Member, Red Cross Volunteer, and Erie Reading Council. Nora enjoyed art, nature, flowers, baking, photography, crafts, movies, volunteering, caring for her home, and especially sharing time with her family and friends. Nora is survived by her sister Carol D. Davis and her husband David Davis of Meadville, PA; nephews, Bradley D. Davis and wife Jennifer and their three children, Peyton, Morgan, and Brianne of Grove City, PA, and Nathan K. Davis and wife Valene, also of Grove City, PA. Friends will be received in the parlors at First Methodist Church, 200 Market St., Warren, PA, on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 10:00am to 11:00am, at which time a service will be held with Reverend Dr. Mark Hecht and Reverend Michael Rutenber, pastor of visitation, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Collins Cemetery in Tionesta, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to First Methodist Church, or to Warren General Auxiliary, 2 Crescent Park West, Warren, PA.
