Merna Mae Glenn, 81, passed away following a brief illness on December 21,2021, in Erie, Pa.
Merna was born in Madison Twp, Clarion County, Pa, on August 7, 1940, the daughter of the late William Best and Nellie Grace Priester Best. She was employed by Human Services of Warren County as a case worker for 20 years, at Bond electric for 5 years and Solar electric for 1 ½ years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Merna enjoyed reading, walking, and playing yahtzee. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Merna is survived by her husband, Russell Glenn Sr.; four sons, Larry Johnson Jr. (Barb) of Pittsfield, Michael Johnson (Heather) of Warren, Kenneth Johnson (Julie) of Warren, Stephen Johnson (Jennifer) of Russell; daughter, Angela Mohney (Larry) of Irvine; grandchildren, Nikki, Justin, Todd, Lisa, Jessica, Emma, Amanda, Mary, James, Molly and Emily; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul, and Phillip Best; sisters, Edna Yori, Elsie Buzard, Helen Newman, Hazel Bowser, Alice Ferguson, Anna Yori, Mable Fauzey and infant sister Nancy Best; and two grandchildren, Troy, and Ashley.
Friends and family will be received on Monday December 27, 2021, at the Peterson – Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave. E. Warren, from 10:00 to 12:00 at which time a funeral service will be held with the Rev. Bay Allen, pastor, Russell United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
The family suggest memorial donations to made to a charity of choice.
