Judy L. Conklin

Judy L. Conklin, 76, of Warren, PA, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Warren Manor.

Judy was born February 22, 1945, in Bradford, PA, the daughter of the late Harry L. and Audrey Walk Bottorf.  Judy was a 1963 graduate of the Bradford High School and was a graduate of the Wyoming County Hospital School of Nursing in 1966. As a Registered Nurse, she was employed at the Bradford Hospital, and in 1983 began her career at the Warren State Hospital later relocating to Warren , PA.  She furthered  her education by becoming a certified psychiatric and mental health nurse, from which she retired. She later loved her retirement job with the former Gayle’s Memories, as she was a Boyd’s Bears collector. Judy was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. Judy will be forever remembered as a take charge woman, who was referred to by those closest to her as “The General”. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren, attending all of their activities when she could. She was an avid Buffalo Bills and NY Yankees fan. 

Judy is survived by two children, Bethany C. MacPherson and her husband David of Warren, and David R. Conklin and his wife Monica, also of Warren, two grandchildren, Paige L. Conklin of Warren, and Max D. Conklin of Hamburg, NY.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by an infant brother, Gerald Bottorf and her beloved dog Oscar.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, PA, 16365 on Wednesday, November 10, from 2:00 until 3:00 pm, at which time a memorial service will be held, with Rev. Bill Beaty, pastor, Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. 

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Warren Public Library, 205 Market Street, Warren, PA 16365 or the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd, Jamestown, NY 14701.
