While raising his family, he enjoyed camping with his in-laws, boating and teaching his younger three kids to water-ski, golf, and spending time with family and friends. Kite also enjoyed traveling to various locations, most notably: Walt Disney World, Virginia Beach, Washington D.C., Mississippi, Maine, and winter vacations in Florida with his wife.
