James Lee Davis,64, of Warren, PA, passed away on June 16, 2022, at Warren General Hospital. Jimmy was born on May 4, 1959, in Keyser, West Virginia, the son of the late James B. Davis and Leona Cross Davis, and stepmother Norma Davis. Jimmy is a 1976 graduate of Warren Area High School. He was a custodian for the high school for a number of years. He was a member of the Salvation Army church and of the Kane Volunteer Fire Department.
Jimmy enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his father, Big Jim. He also liked going to the Seneca Nation Festivals. Jimmy loved being outdoors, whenever he was in the woods, he was always on the lookout for Bigfoot.
In his later years, Jimmy resided at The Conewango Towers where his apartment was on the top floor allowing him a view of the river, and the Warren City lights. There was a place at the Towers where he could sit by the river, watching for wildlife. He was thrilled to report to his sister that for a couple of years, a mated pair of bald eagles were present. Jimmy loved watching the pair fish the Conewango together. He appreciated the sense of community that the Towers gave him and the stories it provided him to tell.
He is survived by his sisters Ruth VanOrd and husband Orrie of Russell, PA, and Kathy Davis of Albany, Oregon; stepsister Nancy Segel of Warren, PA; and an uncle and aunt and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for Jimmy at a later date. He will be cremated, and his ashes spread to various locations as he wished.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Audubon Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown, NY, or to the Farnsworth Trout Club, 6200 Farnsworth Road, Sheffield, PA.
