Frederick G. Thomas

Frederick G. Thomas, 80, passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2022, at his residence. Fred was born on August 30, 1941, in Warren, PA, the son of the late Frederick L. Thomas and Cecil D. Mason Thomas. Fred was a 1960 graduate of Sheffield High School. Fred was a truck driver for Schneider Transportation and Sheffield Container and then became a school bus driver for Lewis Busing for many years. Fred loved to keep his bus, vehicles, and yard in immaculate condition. He loved taking walks and was an avid Raider’s fan. Fred was a member of AA. He especially enjoyed his family and his dogs. Fred will be greatly missed as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Fred is survived by his wife, Doris J. Ritter Thomas, whom he married on December 24, 1979; children Beverly Fox of Warren, PA, Lorie Wilson and husband Terry of Warren, PA, and Donner VonRitter of Jamestown, NY; five grandchildren Scott, Bo, and Amber Fox, Paige, and Rachel Wilson; and two great grandchildren Braylon Fox and Drexel Bullock. In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his first wife, Marian Louise John; and his brother Frederick Louis Thomas at birth. Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna Ave. E. Warren, PA, on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
