Frank Henry Knapp, 94, of Warren, PA, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2021, at the Warren General Hospital.
Frank was born September 18, 1927, in Warren, Pa., the son of the late Ernest S. and Ruth E. Knapp. Following High School graduation, Frank joined the United States Navy and was stationed on the USS Wisconsin. He was also a milkman and worked for Meadowbrook and Warren County Dairy for thirty years and then the Stroehmann bakery. He was later a long-distance truck driver with Petrex. Frank and his late wife enjoyed square dancing and belonged to the Circle 8 and the Apple Siders. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle, and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a member of the Lander United Methodist Church.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Linda (John) Dunmire of Clarendon, PA,; four grandchildren, Tammy, John III, Richard, and Danielle; many great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Darling Knapp in 2005, whom he married on February 25, 1947; a son, Danny Frank Knapp in 1984; a daughter, Penny Lee Knapp in 1985; ten siblings, Lina, Byron, Onolee, Rosamond, Daisy, Jennie Belle, Roscoe, Ruby, Ernest, and Priscilla.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at the Peterson – Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave E. Warren, Pa. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, with Rev. Thom Daubenspeck, pastor, Clymer United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Foster Cemetery.
