Donald W. Anderson, 97, formerly of Madison Avenue, Warren, died Monday, January 11, 2016, at Golden Living -Kinzua Valley. Donald was born July 4, 1918, in Warren, the son of the late Ernest and Grace (Seymour) Anderson.
Donald served in the US Navy during World War II. Donald and his grandfather established the former Anderson's Market, currently operating as Shurfine Market. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. He was also an avid ham radio operator and enjoyed boating.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi G. Anderson; one son, Daryl Anderson, and wife, Linda, of Oakdale; five grandchildren, Cash, Cary, Jon, Kristi and Corey; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Anderson Stephany; one brother; and two sisters.
No calling hours or services will be observed. Private burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
