Dennis Alan Strandburg, 80, of Warren, PA, passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 21, 2023, at his residence.
Denny was born on July 26, 1942, in Warren, the son of the late Leonard A. and Eleanor (Turner) Strandburg. He attended Warren High School. Dennis enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp stationed in Okinawa Japan and Vietnam from 1960-1964. Upon his Honorable discharge as a Corporal, he then served two years in the Marine Corps reserve. He worked as a guard and other various positions throughout his 30 years at the National Forge. Denny enjoyed hunting and was a former member of the Eagles Club and Warren Sports Boosters. He was involved and did a lot for the Players Club, he coached Little League, was on the National Forge Credit Union Board of Directors, and the Warren Snowmobile Club.
Denny is survived by his wife, Cynthia S. Irwin Strandburg, whom he married on July 30, 1966; three children, Melanie Mahood and husband Pete of Kila, MT, Leslie Kucserik and husband Andy of Kenmore, NY, and Dean Strandburg and wife Alden of Guyton, GA; six grandchildren, Lindsey Collins and husband Jeremiah of Kalispell, MT, Kylie Trull and husband Jamie of Kila, MT, Camille and Warren Strandburg of Guyton, GA, and Camden and Benjamin Kucserik of Kenmore, NY; siblings, Chuck Strandburg and Quay Strandburg of Warren, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Denny is preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters, Betty Lou Duckett Connie Sovich, and Kay Marinoble, and Sue Ellen Nazario.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc, 1003 Penna Ave. E. Warren, PA on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and one hour prior to a memorial service which will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 11:00 am with Reverend Jeff Ewing, pastor First Lutheran Church and Hospice Chaplain, officiating.
Memorial contributions for Dennis may be made to the Marine Corp League, www.mclnational.org and Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Ave. Warren, PA.
