From 1997 through 2010, he was active, along with the rest of his family, in the Jamestown Skating Club where he held many roles with the club and for the coaches.
He was an active member and taught Sunday School at the First Church of God. He belonged to the Warren Kiwanis, and always enjoyed working at the annual election day dinner, bell ringing at Christmas, and other fundraising endeavors.
