David LeRoy Cohan, 81, of N. Warren, PA, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, following a brief illness.
Dave was born June 25, 1942, in Warren, the son of the late Arthur and Doris (Look) Cohan. He was a 1960 graduate of Warren High School. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years during peacetime. He was employed as a machinist for Conn & Co.
Dave was a volunteer and member of the N. Warren Volunteer Fire Department for over 56 years. He was an Eagle Scout and helped as a Boy Scout leader. He was also a member of the NRA Golden Eagles.
Dave is survived by his children, Ralph Cohan and wife Elizabeth of Virginia, and Kim Welker, also from Virginia; stepchildren, William Henry Jr. of Zephyr Hills, Fl, Kari Henry of Brandon, Fl, and Lyn McIntyre of Panama, NY; best friend and companion, Linda Cohan from Jamestown, NY; sister, Judy Beltz and husband Adam of Warren; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Dave will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Charity of Choice.
