Daniel Lee Zandi, 62, of Clarendon, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 27th surrounded by his family following a recent illness.
Dan was born June 20, 1959, in Warren, PA the son of the late Richard L. and Janet K. (Verboski) Zandi. A lifelong area resident, Dan was a 1978 graduate of Sheffield High School. Shortly after graduating, Dan co-established Cochran-Zandi Lumber Company with lifelong friend and business partner, Chris Cochran. He will long be remembered as a kind and generous man who supported our veterans and whose work interests spanned a few generations in the oil, gas and timber industry. Dan truly enjoyed working outdoors and was an avid hunter. He most recently returned from New Mexico with a trophy bull Elk. Dan was also a long-time member of the Clarendon VFW/AMVETS Post 314 and the National Rifle Association. He especially loved and enjoyed his family and will be deeply missed by them and his many friends.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Kelly L. "Sturdevant" Zandi, whom he married on September 20, 1997; his four daughters, Kaylene Rojas of Houston,TX, Savanna Cochran of Sheffield, PA, Britney (Nick) Villarreal of St. Petersburg, FL, Giana Zandi of Clarendon, PA.; His late Brother, David L. Zandi, Brother, Richard (Joy) Zandi Jr. of Sheffield, PA.; Sister, Angela Etter of Youngsville, PA.,; three grandchildren, Bastian Rojas, Cam Villarreal, Esme Villarreal.
The family will receive friends at the Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Penna Ave E, Warren, PA, on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 11:00 to 2:00 at which time a funeral service will be held with the Rev. Bill Beaty, pastor, officiating. Burial will be privately held at the Sheffield Cemetery.
