It is with deep sadness that the family of Cheryl Ann Saporito, 67, announce her death on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Warren General Hospital following a brief illness.
Cheryl was born on April 27, 1955 in Warren Pennsylvania, the daughter of Ruth (Crecraft) and Anthony Saporito. She was a 1973 graduate of Warren Area High School and then earned a degree in computer technology in 1975 from the Erie Business Center, where she was Known as the “Whiz”. She worked at Rexnord until her retirement in 2016. Cheryl was a faithful, life-long member of the First Lutheran Church. She participated in the quilting group among other activities. Cheryl loved reading and she enjoyed keeping her brain active with puzzles and computer games. She looked forward to the family dinners and celebrating holidays with her family who loved her! Like her mother, Cheryl was a willing babysitter and entertainer of children. Always ready to join in cards or a board game. She rarely missed sending birthday cards and tucking in some money for those under 18.
Cheryl is survived by her sisters, Linda (Richard) Burroughs of Russell, and Sandra (Randall) Britton of Warren: nephews Nathan Britton and Jamie Burroughs, Uncle James McDunn, several cousins and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her Aunt Elaine McDunn, and nephew Brodie Burroughs.
Friends may call at the First Lutheran Church, 109 W, Third Ave., Warren, on Wednesday, March 22 from 10 am until 12 noon, at which time a funeral service will be held there with The Reverend Jeffrey Ewing, pastor, officiating. A luncheon will follow.
Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park.
