Carl Anderson Obituary

Carl T. Anderson, 86, of Russell, Pa., passed away on November 1, 2021, at the Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, in Warren, Pa.

Carl was born in Jamestown, N.Y., on April 1, 1935, to the late Thomas and Anna Jones Anderson. He worked as a machinist at the former MRC in Jamestown for 39 years from which he retired in 1993. He also worked for Elk Township on the road crew, starting in his teens. Carl enjoyed antique cars and was a member of the Antique Auto Club of America and a former member of the Kinzua Valley Antique Car Club. He loved his old cars and flea markets.  

Carl is survived by his children; Marty Anderson and his companion Chris Anderson of Russell, Roger Anderson of Bradford, Elaine (Gary) Freeborough of Warren, James Anderson of Warren, Sue Swanson of Russell, and Allan Anderson of Sugar Grove. One sister, Nancy (James) Carlson of Lander; a sister-in-law, Norma Anderson of Russell; ten grandchildren; Heleena Swanson, Sonya (Adam) Bartsch, Lydia (Dan) Quigley, Kaela (Josh) Reynolds, Allison (Chris) Burks, Zach Anderson and companion Vicky Bates, Nick Anderson, Thomas Anderson; nine great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in 2018 by his wife; Roberta E. Cable Anderson, whom he married on June 25, 1955; a son-in-law; Byron Swanson; and brother, Lloyd Anderson.

Services  will be held and announced at a later date.
