Charlotte ‘Jeanne’ Maier, 87, of Warren, Pa., passed away on December 13, 2021, at the Warren Manor following a brief illness.
Jeanne was born on July 29, 1934, in Kane, Pa., to the late William and Audrey O’Connor Lemmon. She was a lifelong Warren resident and a 1952 graduate of Warren Area High School. Jeanne was a devout Christian and very involved in her church. She was a very talented seamstress and gardener and loved to grow and arrange roses and calla lilies. Jeanne enjoyed reading, traveling, and camping. Jeanne was a quick-witted lady, very kind and generous, and knowledgeable on many subjects. She was the matriarch of the family and will be sadly missed. She was a member of the Pleasant Community Church and formerly of the First Baptist Church.
Jeanne was survived by her husband, Fred Maier, whom she married August 23, 1952; five children, Mindy (Larry) Rodgers of Saegertown, Rod (Betsy) Maier of White Hall, Pa., Cherlyn (Steve) Faulkner of Warren, Jeff (Brenda) Maier of Warren, and Trish (Brian) Devore also of Warren; nine grandchildren, Adam (Diane) Rodgers of Meadville, Darlene (Eric) Snyder of Cranberry Township, Melissa Means of Warren, Scott (Kim) Means of Warren, Elizabeth Seice of Falconer, NY, Chris (Kayla) Maier of Farmville VA, Kamie (Tony) Mazza of Erie, Sam Laih of Bradford, and Ian Laih of Syracuse NY; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother William Lemmon Jr.
Family will receive friends on Saturday December 18, 2021, from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Peterson – Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave. E. Warren, Pa. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 with the Rev. James Swanson, pastor, Pleasant Community Church, officiating
Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery.
