Alberta Jayne Tucker

Alberta Jayne Tucker, 97, of Warren, PA, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, July 16, 2023, at DuBois Nursing Home. Jayne was born on September 24, 1925, in Warren, the daughter of the late Edwin and Florence (Mohr) Streich. Jayne went to W.C.A Hospital School of Nursing in Jamestown, NY, and became an R.N. and then worked at Warren General Hospital for 44 years as well as in two private doctor practices. She was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School Teacher for twenty years, was a part of the United Methodist Women, G.R. Class, and Bethel Fleming Circle. She was also a part of the W.C.A. Hospital Alumni Association. Jayne was a loving mother, grandmother and showed unconditional love. Jayne is survived by her children, Timothy L. Tucker of Warren, and Lance S. (Amy) Tucker of Grampian, PA; grandchildren, Joshua Tucker, Sheena Walker, and Seth (Lindsay) Tucker, Elizabeth (Chris) McGarry, Jamie (Travis) Stephens, Tammy Cochrane, Mary Hirschfeld, and Jason Wilson; several great grandchildren; nephews, Gary Streich, Matthew Streich, and Andrew Streich; and a great niece, Perrin Giertz. In addition to her parents, Jayne is preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Tucker, whom she married in 1949; brother, James Streich, sister-in-law, Betty Streich; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Tucker. Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 11:00am to 12:00pm, at which time a funeral service will be held with Reverend Darrell Greenawalt, pastor, Christ United Methodist Church, Franklin, PA, officiating. Burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery.
