Yvonne Michelle Wonderling, 63, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2024, at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice House in Warren, PA. Yvonne was born in Jamestown, NY on April 9, 1960, to E. Shannon Laird and Joann Laird. Yvonne had a spirit that embraced wanderlust. That essence led her to live in many places as a travel nurse including: California, Nevada, Florida, New York, Kentucky, and most frequently, Warren County, PA. Yvonne was employed as a registered nurse for over 25 years. She took great pride in her work, which included the areas of Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, retiring from travel nursing. Yvonne's greatest joy in life was her grandchildren: Madison Green, Maysen Wonderling, Mikenzie Miller, Shawn Miller, Erik Youngren, Emilie Youngren, and Vance Miller. Also, her great nieces and nephews: Hayden Morse, Paige Penley, Carter Penley, Eric Chew, and Sophie Chew. She cherished every moment spent with them and created lasting memories that will be treasured forever. In addition to her family, Yvonne had a love for cooking, crafting, and animals. She enjoyed trying to recreate Polish recipes she had made with her grandmother. Her culinary creations will not soon be forgotten. In the evenings she could be found cross-stitching or making scrap books of the grandchildren. She adored her dog Walt and her cats Emma, and Mischief. Yvonne was preceded in death by her mother and her father; her sister, Lillian Ibbs; and her brother, William Laird. In addition to her grandchildren she is survived by her children Michelle Miller (James) of Sugar Grove, PA; Whitney Youngren and Fiancé Eric Stroup of Warren PA. Her niece Dena Penley (Steve) of Warren, PA, her nephew Jeremy Chew of Sugar Grove PA. , and brother Shannon Laird (Cindy) of Wild Rose, WI. A Memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice House of Warren, PA or to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
