Yvonne "Gen" Prosen, 84, of Warren, Pennsylvania and St. Marys, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014, at Southeast Georgia Health System's Camden Campus in St. Marys, GA.
Mrs. Prosen was born September 5, 1930, in Distant, PA. She was the daughter of the late Elwood C. and Bessie Henry Ross. For the past several years, she and her husband, Joe, were "snowbirds," living the summer months in Warren, PA, and the winter months in St. Marys, GA.
Mrs. Prosen was a Registered Nurse who retired with over forty years of service. She was a member of the First Church of God (Warren, PA) and also attended New Hope Baptist Church (St. Marys, GA). She was always a joy to be around and deeply loved her family and friends.
Yvonne is survived by her husband, Joseph Prosen; daughter, Pamela Dawn Kitelinger (husband Delbert) of Clarendon; son, Ross John Prosen (wife Melanie) of St. Marys, GA; two sisters, Rochelle Mohney (husband Mike) and Winona "Ivy" Prosen (husband Tony), both of Warren; brother, Tony Ross (wife Julie) of Warren; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Saturday, January 3, at the First Church of God, 1111 Madison Avenue, Warren, from 10 to 11a.m., at which time a memorial service will be held there with Rev. William Hargenrader, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Barnes Cemetery (Barnes, PA); there will no graveside service held at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Yvonne's name may be made to the First Church of God.
