William W. Wilcox, 77, of Pleasant Township, died Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Warren General Hospital.  William was born April 4, 1939, in Warren. He was the son of the late Clay and Mary (Stokes) Wilcox.

William was a truck driver for Masterson's Transfer and Heenan Trucking Company, as well as many other companies.  He served in the US Army before being discharged for family illness.  William attended the St. John's Lutheran Church, and was a member of the American Legion, Clarendon VFW, Goldwing Riders Association and the Eagles Club.

He is survived by a step-daughter, Karen Brenton; sister, Daisy Bailey; grandson, William Brenton; his companion, Georgianna Lobdell; cousins, Ray Wilcox, and wife, Kathy, of Warren, and Jean Hollabaugh, and husband, Robert, of Warren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Wilcox.

No services will be observed.
