William P. Cummings, 82, of Warren, passed away on Sunday morning, August 22, 2021, at Cambridge, Warren. William was born March17, 1939, in Warren, PA, the son of the late Donald and Elsie Geer Cummings. He was a graduate of the Warren High School where he lettered in wrestling for four years. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea, and later worked at Osram Sylvania for 39 years, from which he retired. He was an avid Browns and Indians fan and could often be found watching ball games at Betts Field. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and long walks along the river. He especially enjoyed family. He is survived by two sons, Brian Cummings of Warren, PA, and Michael Cummings, also of Warren, PA; three sisters, Marie Stewart of Warren, PA, Dalene Stewart and husband Dave of Warren, PA, and Linda Scalise and husband Doug of Warren, PA; two brothers, Bruce Cummings of Youngsville, PA, and Harold Cummings and wife Sarah of Russell, PA; two grandsons, Chandler and Patrick Cummings; one granddaughter, Raven Cummings; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on February 28, 1995 by his wife of 29 years, Susan Park Cummings; his siblings, Sidney, Rich, Ed, Lou, Donald, Julie, Betty, and Lois. Friends and family will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, on Monday, August 30, 2021, from 10 am until 12 noon, at which time a funeral will be held with Re. Bill Beaty, pastor, Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
