IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Lee
Brunner (Fuzzy)
October 12, 1938 – December 28, 2020
William Lee Brunner (Fuzzy), passed Monday, December 28, 2020, at the Warren General Hospital.
Fuzzy was born October12, 1938, in Pittsburgh PA to the late William Brunner and Edna Ruth (Woessner) Brunner. He has resided in Warren PA for the past 42 years; he traded his city hat for the country. He was 82 years young when he went on to the next part of his journey passing away at Warren General Hospital after a brief illness on Monday 28th of December. He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved football and watched every game he could. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him there was something special about him. Fuzzy was the life of the party, he brought a smile to everyones face. He was quick witted and made everyone feel special. He made everyone laugh at the things he did and his little ditties that we have no idea where he learned them all. He lived everyday how he wanted to live and listen to no one not even me. Unlike most people where they had a holiday that they loved, his was, "The Opening Day at Camp!". He lived for this and spent the last 20 years as a summer resident at Riverview Community Campground. He had his camp family that took care of him as if he was one of their own. He loved a campfire, beer, lottery tickets family and friends. He was a sucker for junk and if it said free on it, he would take it. He had made a shed at camp for bikes so all the kids could ride a bike while at camp. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing Kinzua Dam and going to hunting camp with his brother and family members. He was truck driver for most of his life hauling mail, macaroni, and logs. He was also part of the teamster union out of Pittsburgh, PA. He was a Jack of all trades and master of none; he could do just about anything. He was in the Army station in Hawaii for 2 years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 135.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Robeson and husband Steve, and grandson Tanner, who the two of them fought like they were brothers. Fuzzy lived with them during the winter months in North Warren; a son, Kevin Thompson and wife Kathy of South Carolina and his two granddaughters Becca & Chris Hoover of Virginia, and Christine & Daniel Knierieman of South Carolina; one great granddaughter Reagan and another on the way. Kevin was Bills long lost son, my dad was tickled pink when he found out about this; one living Brother Wayne Brunner and Kathy of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and many nieces and nephews. Also, A One special niece, that was his God Child, Sandy Huber, these two we're double trouble when together. The past camping season my aunt and uncle had moved a camper in and became part of the camping community, my dad really loved this. He truly enjoys hanging out with his family and listening to music and having fun. He also helped raise Lindsey and Ryan Markey they were Patricia's grandkids.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Ruth Herrmann and brother -in- law; a brother, David Walter Super; and by a special friend, Patricia Markey. He will be reunited with them.
He had a Special Friend Linda Briggs who he called Sweet Pea; he just would grin from ear to ear when he was around her. She had a special place in his heart.
I would also like to thank Rena Johnson and Charlie Moore for taking care of my dad this summer without you guys I would not have believed he could have enjoyed his last summer at camp as he did. Jessie and Ray thanks for always keeping an eye on him. Huge thanks go out to everyone that has taken care of my dad, made him a meal or just stop by to say hi. Thank You.
A Celebration of Life service will be held this summer at the camp.
Memorial donation may be made to Toys for Tots or Wounded Warriors.
