Wesley D. Sherman, 95, of Russell, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Saint Vincent Hospital. Wesley was born on January 16, 1923, in Kinzua, PA, to the late Lyman and Daisy Belle (Kifer) Sherman. He was employed at Betts Industries for fifteen years, working as a machine shop inspector. Welsey was also a part of the Society of Manufacturing and enjoyed anything that dealt with mechanics. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on April 17, 2003, by his loving wife, Lillian (Dennison) Sherman, whom he married on November 13, 1945; his infant brother, Phillip Sherman and Lyman Clair Sherman. Wesley is survived by his sister-in-law, Judith Sherman, along with several nieces. Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365 on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. with a funeral service at noon, Rev. Marcus Briggs, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Dale cemetery. The family has asked that memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, 1645 W 8th St, Erie, PA 16505.
