Wendy E. Andersen, 84, of Warren, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, in her home, surrounded by her family. Wendy was born on April 21, 1934, in India to the late Arthur and Eileen (Young) Brock. Shortly after she finished school, she met her husband, John, while he served in England. She proudly maintained her British citizenship throughout her life. Wendy is survived by her children, Robin (Cindy) Andersen, Avis (Ron Farnam) Valentine, Brock Andersen, Lesley (Scott) Robeson, Jennifer (Jeff) Head, and Valerie (Tom) Rea; her siblings, Arthur (Julie) Brock, Denzil (Marie) Brock, Ronald (Gwenda) Brock, Marion Slingsby, Avis Hyland, and Lynda (Ian) Watson; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Wendy is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Andersen, whom she married on December 12, 1953; her sister Kathleen Brock; and other loved ones. Friends will be received from 12-1 pm on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Pennsylvania Ave. E. Warren, PA, 16345. A memorial service will follow at 1 pm, with Rev. Marcus Briggs, pastor, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Warren Public Library, 205 Market St, Warren, PA 16365 and Hospice of Warren County, 2 W Crescent Park, Warren, PA 16365.
