William Jack Skinner,79, of Main Avenue, Warren, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013 peacefully at home surrounded by family after an extended illness.

Jack was born May 12th, 1933, in Dubois, PA, the son of the late Cloy and Mary Skinner.  He was recruited out of high school with Bell of Pennsylvania and worked 38 years and then retired as an engineer with Bell Atlantic.

Jack was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church involved in many activities including Methodist Youth Fellowship.  He was a member of the Coudersport Consistory - Free and Accepted Masons, a member of the Kalfus Gun Club, The Eagles, The Inner City Bowling League, President of The Warren Field and Stream Club that was involved in bringing "The Wally Taber Show" to Warren and also involved in starting "The Winter Carnival" at Chapman Dam, President of the Mountain Laurel Bell Telephone Pioneers, and Boy Scout Master for two Boy Scout of America Troops in Warren.

He and his wife, Carolyn, enjoyed volunteering with The Garden Club, Warren's Arbor Day Celebration, and installing Life Line systems for Warren General Hospital.  They also together enjoyed spending time with their family, grandchildren and friends riding horses, boating at Kinzua Dam, traveling, art, hunting, and fishing.  He truly had a gift in nurturing everyone he loved with his talents and knowledge of the outdoors, painting and the numerous lessons he had learned from his love of reading.

He is survived by his children, Pamela Heinold and husband Gregg of Warren, PA, Steven Skinner and wife Marsha of Julian, PA, William Jay Skinner and wife Cheryl of Warren, PA, Kimberly Black and husband Jack of Warren, PA, Jennifer Skinner Marks and fiancé Rodney Johnson of Clayton, NC, and Linda Skinner Ruhlman and partner Mike Gurdak of Warren, PA.

Also surviving is his brother Ronald Skinner and wife Rose of Hampstead, NC, eleven grandchildren, Jasmine Campbell, Trever Schwab, Shiloh Duffy, Mary Skinner, Roxie Black, Summer Black, Miranda Marks, Ava Marks, Cody Clark, Cailyn Clark, and Tristan Ruhlman; eleven great-grandchildren, Conner Campbell, Lily Brooker, Violet Brooker, Riley Brown, Andi Duffy, Eveangelina Young, Zachary Schwab, Grace Schwab, Miranda Young, Hayden Whitmire and Holdyn Whitmire; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carolyn A. Skinner to whom he was married to for 60 years and his beloved daughter, Kellie Skinner.

Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there, with Rev.  Dr. Jeffrey D. Sterling, pastor, First United Methodist Church will be officiating.

Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Warren Garden Club and Hospice of Warren.
