Virginia W. Young, 86, of Railroad Street, Clarendon, PA, passed away peacefully at UPMC  Hamot, in Erie, PA on June 16, 2013.

Mrs. Young was born November 15, 1926, in Warren, PA, the daughter of the late Herbert and Ellen Fitzgerald Schumann.  She previously worked at Russell Methodist Day Care and the Warren General Hospital in nursing, before retiring.

She is survived by two daughters; Rena C. Manelick and husband, Max, of Clarendon, PA, Earleen L. Garber and husband, Carl, of Pittsfield, PA, one son; Timothy O. Young and wife, Julie, of Spring Creek, PA; her brother, James H. Schumann, and wife, Marge, and sister, Phyllis Murvine, Warren, PA; ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Earl J. Young, Jr., whom she married on November 28, 1946; and her sister Eva Morrison.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at which time, a funeral service will be held there with Rev. Marcus Briggs, pastor and chaplain, Warren General Hospital and Rouse Home, officiating.

Burial will be in Sanford Cemetery.
