Virginia Ann Shaw, born December 26, 1940, in Garland, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully on June 6, 2025, in Warren, PA. She was 84 years old. Virginia was a nurturing mother, a kindhearted soul, and a gentle presence in the lives of all who knew her. She retired from Osram Sylvania, where she worked for many years as a factory worker, and found joy in life's simpler pleasures — sewing, knitting, and spending time with her beloved dogs. She especially loved Christmas, Disney, and traveling, and always brought a sense of magic and warmth to the world around her. Virginia was formerly married to Gail Shaw, with whom she shared two daughters. She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Shaw of Warren PA and Sandy Gowland (and husband Ed) of Arizona; her sisters, Kathryn Hamilton and Margaret Warner; her brother, John Taber; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Marian (Kennedy) Taber. Virginia will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Pittsfield, Pennsylvania. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or public memorial service.
