Virginia M. Keene, 81, formerly of South Irvine Street, Warren, died Sunday, October 8, 2017, at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, PA. Virginia was born August 8, 1936, in Sheffield, PA. She is the daughter of the late Braden and Martha (Rogers) Fiscus.
Virginia began her career at the former Solar Electric Company, ultimately retiring from Phillips Lighting after nineteen and a half years. She then worked for Lorangers for 7 years, retiring in 1999. Above all else, Virginia loved her family and especially loved being a grandma. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Westerns, and watching the Steelers and the Bills.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara Pollock, and husband, Tracy, and Debra Gray, and husband, Lee, both of Warren; 2 sons, Richard Keene, of Huntingdon, and Braden Keene, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 3 siblings, David Fiscus, and wife, Judy, of Sheffield, Pearl Sutton, of Youngsville, and Judy Wester, and husband, Ben, of Middleburg Hts., OH; 5 grandchildren, John Morgan, Jr., and wife, Amy, Jennifer Pollock, Joseph Bees, and wife, Devin, Kyle Gray, and wife, Nicole, and Cameron Gray, and wife, Natalie; 4 great-grandchildren, Colton Stewart, Devyn Pollock, Mitchell Morgan, and Giuliana Gray; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death on November 26, 1990, by her husband, Horace U. Keene, whom she married November 19, 1955; and 4 siblings, Harold Fiscus, Butch Fiscus, Robert Fiscus, and Mary McCulla.
Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Thursday, October 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. Marcus Briggs, chaplain, Rouse Home, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
