Timothy Ray Hecei, 72, of Warren, PA, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Lutheran Home at Kane. Tim was born May 11, 1952, in Warren, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Joyce Miller Hecei. He was a 1970 graduate of Sheffield High School and received his bachelor's degree in forestry at Penn State University. Tim was employed at the U.S. Forest Service in Warren as a Forester and Surveyor and then later owned his own surveying and forestry business in Vermont, and later worked for the French Creek Valley Conservatory. Tim was an avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the Sheffield Rod & Gun Club and the Fraternal order of Eagles. He travelled to Goshorn, Michigan annually for vacations with the Duffy family. Tim is survived by two brothers, Tom Hecei and wife Kay of St. Peters, MO, Rick Hecei and wife Patti of Warren, PA; sister, Sandy Hecei of Warren, PA; sister-in-laws, Karen Brocker and husband Kyle, Maureen Duffy, Doreen Duffy, and Patricia Kramer and husband Jim; brother-in-law, John Duffy and wife Trish; one niece, Heather Hecei Smith and husband Greg; one nephew, John Hecei; one great niece, Alexandra Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews from the Duffy family. In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Donna L. Duffy; in-laws, Donald and Nancy Duffy; sister-in-law, Eileen Duffy; and nephew, Adam Hecei. The family will hold a private memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Tim may be made to the Sheffield Rod & Gun Club, 1964 Austin Hill Rd., Sheffield, PA.
