Thomas Robert Lydon, 78, of Irvine, died Saturday, December 10, 2016, at St. Vincent Health Center, in Erie. Thomas was born September 1, 1938, in Pittsburgh. He is the son of the late Thomas and Marie (Tamburriello) Lydon.
He served in the US Air Force from 1956 to 1962. He worked in Pittsburgh for IBM as a computer programmer, from which he retired in 1990 and moved to his camp in Warren where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his friends and family, and especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Tidioute Vets Club and the NRA.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Lydon, of Erie; three children, Thomas R. Lydon, Jr. of FL, Donna McKissick, of Butler, and Debbie Lydon Oakman, and husband, Gary, of Girard, OH; six grandchildren; two brothers, Bruce Hayes, of Newbern, TN, and Gary Hayes of, WI; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret "Peg" Lydon; granddaughter, Samantha Lydon; and three brothers, James, Lydon, Robert Hayes, and Dallas Hayes, Sr.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North Street, Butler, at 2 p.m., Pastor Eric Park will officiate.
