Obituary

Theodore (Razzy) Gustafson passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016. He was born March 24, 1929, in Warren. Throughout his life, he was very active in the community, a special friend to many, and one who could not walk downtown without people calling out "Razzy" as most in Warren knew him. As a young boy, Theodore would frequently pick raspberries with his family in the summer, only to eat more than he would save, hence the name Razzy that followed him throughout his 87 year life.

He was active in the automotive and other businesses through his life, but felt the desire to serve his country and enlisted in the Army where he served for 10 years and excelled to become a Tank Commander before returning to Warren to rejoin friends and to serve the community. Razzy was an avid golfer with an impressive golf game and would routinely organize events in the Warren area to benefit the community and charities. He also had a "mind like a trap" and could remember intimate details associated with all aspects of his life and relationships. Most in Warren would enjoy spending time with him listening to his stories from many, many years ago and in awe with the detail he would recall.

Razzy was also an exceptional cook and would enjoy cooking for friends and the community as well as deep frying 20+ turkeys for local charities during the Holidays. Many in Warren always appreciated his outstanding recipes that he embraced from Swedish generations and family before him. He always gave of himself for the community that he loved. Razzy was a positive icon of the community and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his daughter Donna Snyder, and husband, Jeff; granddaughter Alicia Hazlett; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E. Warren, on Tuesday, January 3, from 2 to 3 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there, with Pastor Bill Hargenrader, First Church of God, officiating.  Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
