Sylvia A. Leonard, 72, of Warren passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Warren General Hospital.  Sylvia was born April 26, 1942, in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late Truman and Beatrice Austin Abraham.

Sylvia was a nurse, graduated from  WCA, and worked for Warren General Hospital and later at Kinzua Valley, from which she retired. She and her husband previously owned Tiny Town.  Sylvia was a member of the Former First Salem Church, the Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary, and WCA Alumni.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles and traveling with her husband.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Emery L. Leonard, whom she married on September 28, 1963; one daughter, Beth McCullough, and husband, Gale, Warren, PA; and one son, Jeff Leonard, Clarendon, PA.  She also has two grandchildren, Sarah and Scott McCullough; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis C. Abraham, and her infant brother, Edward K. Abraham.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA. on Friday, July 18, from 5 to 8 p.m., and on July 19, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. Marcus Briggs, chaplain, Rouse Home and Warren General Hospital, officiating.  Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
