Steven F. Simones, 81, of 6 Hammond St., died at 4:30 a.m. at Warren General Hospital, on Saturday, December 28, 2002.

Mr. Simones was born November 7, 1921, in Warren, PA, the son of the late Edward and Matilda Stingel Simones. He was employed at the Struthers Wells Corp. for 40 years as a welder and retired in 1987, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Simones, and Connie Simones both of Warren; a son, Ronald Simones, Warren; a brother, Sam Simones, Warren, Ohio; a sister, Florence Rensma, Warren; a granddaughter, Christine Simones, Warren; a grandson, Kevin Simones, Erie; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Danielson Simones, who died October 24, 2002; three brothers, Jim Simones, Bertman Simones, and Joe Simones; two sisters, Mary Rinehart and Emma Shaffer.

Friends may call at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA on Sunday December 29, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held on Monday, December 30 at 12:00 pm, with the Rev. Nelson D. Confer, pastor First Church of God, officiating.

Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park, Warren.
