Stephen Michael Giunta, 59, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at his home in Russell.  Stephen was born April 7, 1957, in Warren, PA, the son of Carl J.Giunta, and wife, Lorrie, of Falconer, NY, and Theofannie L. Cottillion Newmaker, of Warren.

Stephen was a 1975 graduate of Warren Area High School.  He had worked at the United Refining Company as a pipefitter, from which he retired.  He loved his music, yard work, gardening, woodworking and detailing cars.  He also enjoyed golfing and the outdoors--camping, boating, and watching the wildlife in the back yard.  He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Steelers, as well as the Cleveland Browns.  Most of all, he enjoyed the ocean, beaches and long romantic rides with his wife.

He was a member of the Elks, Legion, Moose, Lakewood Rod & Gun, and USGA

In addition to his parents, Stephen is survived by his wife, Judith (Frazier) Giunta, whom he married April 22, 2016;  two daughters, Brook and Breanna; 2 step-children, Len and Crystal Ellis; 1 sister, Kathryn Giunta; 2 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 1 niece and 4 nephews

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, at Inter-Faith Chapel, Warren State Hosptial, N. Warren, PA with Rev. Nancy Schwanke, pastor, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Elks Club, 331 Hickory Street, Warren, PA 16365.
