IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stephanie
Jung
October 21, 1948 – June 7, 2012
Stephanie Jung, 63, of Church Street, North Warren, PA, and formerly of St. Mary's, Ohio passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2012 following a brief illness and was taken home to be with the Lord at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House.
Stephanie was born October 21, 1948, in Munich, Germany the daughter of the late Wessil and Anastasian Dzalamanow. She was sworn in as a citizen of the US in 1970. Stephanie graduated from Memorial High School in St. Marys, Ohio in 1966. While is St. Marys her interests varied but most were centered around her love of horses and the locations where they were boarded, she still had fond memories of her very first horse Lanie. She was also involved with toll painting along with her sister as both were self taught artists. Stephanie had also worked at the St. Marys Goodyear Tire and Rubber Plant and Kiefaber Plumbing Supply. After several moves in New York and Pennsylvania, Steph and Steve settled in North Warren beginning her employment at Whirley Drinkworks on November 11, 1983 in the Molding Department, she transferred to the Art Department in 1985 as an artist and was promoted to Assistant Art Director in 1995, a position she held until her illness. She enjoyed her work due to the fact she was able to put her artistic ability to her full potential. Even during her illness, her constant worry was for her co workers of which she had formed a strong bond. She considered them family. She had attended the Holy Redeemer Church. Steph's interested leaned towards animals. She loved her dog Darwin, her standard poodle, her love for horses continued and she volunteered at the Double Rainbow Farms and was a trustee there. Her other interests included pottery, gardening, jewelry making, reading and being with her friends. Stephanie will be missed by her family and by her many loyal friends who were by her side until the end.
She is survived by her husband Steven A. Jung, whom she married on June 21, 1977; two brothers, Mike Dzalamanow and his wife Terri, and Paul Dzalamanow, both of St. Marys, OH; nephews, Sean Dzalamanow and Richard Dazalamanow and his wife Angie, St. Marys, OH and Marcus Dzalamanow and his wife Angie, of Willmington, NC; niece, Angela McEldowney and her husband Mykal, Greenville, SC; a great niece, Clara Dzalamanow, St Marys, OH; a sister in law Jeannine Goodwin and her husband Brad, niece, Leslie Goodwin, all of St Mary, OH and a nephew, Shawn Goodwin and his wife Dyanne, Columbus, OH.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Hole.
With Stephanie's fear of confined spaces, her wish was to be cremated.
Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 6-8 pm. A memorial service will be held there on Tuesday, June 12 at 11:00 AM, with Monsignor John Lucas, celebrant, officiating.
