Sidney Alton Card, 70, of Warren, PA, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Warren Manor. Sidney was born December 9, 1942 in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Lawrence E. and Alice M. Albright Card.
Sidney served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War as a Radio Telegraph Operator. He was also an M14 Rifle Expert and .45 Pistol Expert. He was employed as an over the road truck driver, his CB Handle being "Range Rider". He was most recently employed with Wayne Concrete. He was a former member of the Lander Volunteer Fire Department; a lifetime member of the American Legion and a member of the Marine Corps League. He enjoyed NASCAR and dirt-track racing, he also raced go-karts, and was a track official at AMR Speedway in Kane. He coached an umpired Little League Baseball for several years. Sidney enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by five children, Michael A. Card, and wife, Lisa, Starbrick, PA, Cyndie M. Page, and husband, Gary, Sugar Grove, PA, Jeramy M. Card, and wife, Tanya, Sugar Grove, PA, Terry L. Card, and wife, Katie, Scandia, PA, and Amy L. Robinault, and husband, Darrell, Sugar Grove, PA; one brother, Ted Card, and wife, Maureen, Lakewood, NY; one sister, Judy Sage, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren, Michael, Ella, Chase, Tierra, Jeramy, Candace, Dylan, Christian and Michele Card, Kayla Kraft, Trey, Caleb, Madalynn and Mercedes Robinault; two step-grandchildren, Collin and Curtis Ruland; one great-granddaughter, Alauna Card; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Dill.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
