Shirley A. Silvis, 80, of Plum Street, Warren, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016, at the Rouse Home, where she had resided for the last nine and a half years.  Shirley was born July 6, 1935, in Warren, PA. She was the daughter of the late George and Susan (Knapp) Dykes.

Shirley was a telephone operator for Bell of Pennsylvania, retiring after 36 years.  She was a member of the PleasantCommunityChurch, where she served on the prayer chain for the sick and shut in members.

In addition to her church family and friends, Shirley is survived by her husband of 43 years, Edward L. Silvis, whom she married at the Nazarene Church of Warren; and two cousins, Marie Perry, of Warren, and Valerie Murphy, of Bradford.

Services will be private, at held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Barnes Cemetery.
