Shirley Ruth Carrington, 89, of Warren, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, October 6, 2019, surrounded by her family. Shirley was born on December 10, 1929, in Geneva, PA, to the late Amos and Susie (Anthony) Peterson. Shirley attended the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, playing cards and spending time with family. Shirley is survived by her sons, "Bob" (Patty) Carrington, Ron (Lois) Carrington, and Ted (Jayne) Carrington, all of Warren; her sister, Twila (Dave) Shaw, of Meadville, PA; her 6 grandchildren, Ron, Michael, Jora, Rob, Heather and Ted; 9 great grandchildren, Alex, Nick, Trey, Annie, Ashton, Aubrey, Connor, Kylie, and Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Carrington Sr.; and her siblings, Stanley, June and Lucille. Friends will be received from 4-6 pm, on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church, 210 Jamestown St, Sugar Grove, PA 16350. A funeral service will follow at 6 pm, with Rev. Billy Hughes, pastor, officiating.
