Sherman Elmer Hagberg, 86, of 682 Pleasant Drive, Warren, died at 7:00 AM on Friday, February 28, 2003, at Warren Manor, following an extended illness.

Mr. Hagberg was born February 25, 1917, in Warren, the son of the late Elmer James and Jessie Margurite Gates Hagberg. Mr. Hagberg was retired from the National Forge Company. He was a self-employed farmer and a lifetime resident of Warren County.

He is survived by three daughters; Mrs. John (Ingrid) Riche, Warren, Ms. Virginia Hagberg, Hamden, CT., Mrs. Fran (Nancy) Hopshire, Warren; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several neices and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Sheridan Hagberg, and longtime companion, Mildred V. (Middy) Weaver

Friends will be received from 1-3 pm Sunday, March 2, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, with Rev. Marcus Briggs, pastor Rouse Warren Co. Home and Warren General Hospital, officiating.

Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park, Warren.
