Sharon “Sherry” Luella Jones, 89, of Warren, PA, passed away at home in the company of her loved ones on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

She was born in Warren to the late Phoebe I. (Chapel) and Elmer E. Peterson on November 13, 1936.

She married her husband, Carlton R. Jones, on July 6, 1956.

Sharon, along with her husband, owned the Dairy Queen in Youngsville, PA, for thirty years. She was also involved with many other family businesses. Sharon had a strong devotion to family and a special life-long bond with her mother. In her earlier years, she liked bowling, dancing, and long walks for exercise. She enjoyed her landscaping, flowers, and all the birds and small animals that came to visit her home. She had a great sense of humor, even up until the end. She most enjoyed the many family outings and get togethers.

Along with her husband of almost 70 years, Sharon is survived by her brother, Dennis (Linda) Peterson of Youngsville, PA; her children, Michael (Jon) Jones of Jamestown, NY, Edward (Cinnamon) Jones of Scandia, PA, and Steven Jones of Warren, PA; grandchildren, Megan Jones of Lakewood, NY, Allison (Billy) Chuzie of Scandia, PA, Madelyn and Harper Jones of Warren, PA; her great-grandchildren, Jayce, Peyton, River, and Archer; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Pennsylvania Ave E. Warren, PA 16365. Services for Sharon will be private at the family’s wishes.

Sharon’s family wishes to thank all the wonderful caregivers she was privileged to have.

Memorial contributions in Sharon’s name may be made to the Hospice of Warren County.
