Obituary

Sarah Jane Wilson of Warren, PA, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at the age of 83.

She was born on November 25, 1942, to Russell and Glendine Leo (née Link) in Erie, PA.

After graduating from Hamot Hospital Nursing School in 1963, she married William “Bill” Wilson of North Warren on December 14, 1963. Bill and Sarah raised their two boys, Russell (Leslie) and Michael, in Warren. Sarah returned to school and earned a Master of Nursing degree in 1995 from Gannon University. She worked for many years as a nurse at the Warren State Hospital. Sarah was active in the American Red Cross, Order of the Eastern Star, and as an elder in her church, but her biggest gratification came from her grandchildren.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill, son, Russell, brothers-in-law, Dick and Mark (Lynn), and great-niece, Sierra.

She is survived by her son, Michael, sister, Jean Moore, granddaughters, Kolby and Braydn, grandsons, Gus and Jake, great-grandson, Lionel, and many extended family members and friends.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Pennsylvania Avenue East, Warren PA, 16365. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 13, from 10:00AM – 12:00 PM, with a funeral service to immediately follow visitation.

Interment will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross or the North Warren Presbyterian Church.
