IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra "Sandy" Gene
Yaegle
August 9, 1953 – November 19, 2025
Sandra "Sandy" Yaegle, 72, beloved sister, aunt, educator, librarian, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. She was born on August 9, 1953 in Warren, PA. Known for her gentle spirit, strong faith, and deep compassion for others, Sandy lived a life marked by humility, kindness, and service.
Sandy graduated from Houghton University with a degree in special education and began her career as an elementary school teacher in Pennsylvania. She later taught at Pensacola Christian School in Florida before earning a Master of Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Library Science from Clarion University.
In 1991, Sandy joined Regent University, where she faithfully served for nearly 28 years as a faculty member and valued colleague in the University Library. She held key roles—including Head of Public Services, Coordinator of Information Literacy and Library Instruction, and Education Subject Specialist—supporting students and faculty with patience, wisdom, and a servant's heart. Her colleagues remember her for her warmth, modesty, and steady Christian example.
Sandy's professional impact reached beyond Regent. In 2013, she was honored by the Association of Christian Librarians for seventeen years of service on the editorial team of The Christian Librarian, where she held several leadership positions.
Above all, Sandy cherished her personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Her faith guided every part of her life—shaping the way she worked, cared for others, and lived with quiet confidence and grace. She leaves behind a powerful example of a life rooted in Scripture, prayer, and trust in her Savior.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Vera Yaegle, and her sister Karen Scott (Jim). She is survived by her loving sister Sue Reynolds, her dear cousin Bill Yaegle, and her nieces and nephews: Kelly Reynolds (Lea Ann), Jamey Reynolds (Lisa), Jill White (Brent), Jim Scott (Cindy), Julie Bowman (Bill), and Jodie Johnson (Greg), along with many great-nieces and great-nephews who adored their Aunt Sandy. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace and in the presence of her Lord, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.
A celebration of Sandy's life will be held at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, PA, on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00am. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.petersonblickfuneralhome.com or on our Facebook page.
