June 1, 1953 – March 14, 2016
Sandra J. Ditonto, 62, of Warren, passed away surrounded by her family Monday, March 14, 2016, at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice House. Sandra was born June 1, 1953, in Jamestown, NY. She is the daughter of Lucille J. (Breth) Cole, of Winter Park, FL, and the late Lynn Cole.
For nineteen years, Sandra was employed by the Warren County School District as an aide; touching the lives of children at Russell, Beaty, Eisenhower, Warren and most recently, Sheffield. She had planned to formally retire in April 2016.
She was a member of Praise! Fellowship, where she was active on the worship team. Always faithfully serving God, she provided sign language interpretation every Sunday during the worship service, until her health no longer allowed. Sandra will be remembered by friends and family for her faith, her happy outlook on life, her laughter, and her love of working with young children.
In addition to her mother, Lucille Cole, Sandra is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bennie A. Ditonto, Jr.; one son, Matthew B. Ditonto, and wife, Lee Ann, of Jamestown, NY; three daughters, Julie E. Ditonto, of Jamestown, NY, Kimberly J. Gryskewicz, and husband, Matthew, of Cranberry, PA and April S. Landin, and husband, Matthew, of Pittsburgh, PA; one brother, Gary L. Cole, and wife, Charlene, of Dayton, OH; three grandchildren, Ashton, Annika and Gabriel; one niece, Gillian, and two nephews, Nathan and Adam.
Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Thursday, March 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be held at Praise! Fellowship, 7451 Market Street, Russell, Friday, March 18, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Rick Rohlin, lead pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Avenue, Warren, PA 16365.
