Ronald J. Bumbarger, 65, of Warren, died unexpectedly Friday, September 5, 2014, at Eastern Niagara Hospital of Newfane, NY, while on a fishing trip.  Ron was born November 22, 1948, in Morrisdale, PA, the son of the late Benjamin and Mildred Quick Bumbarger.

Ron was a lifelong Truck Driver, earning many safety awards over the years.  Most recently, he drove for the F.R. Bellotti Trucking Company in Leeper, PA.  One of his many hobbies was racing; he built and worked on a Sportsman Car that he raced at Stateline Speedway for five years.   He was a member of the Pine Grove Sportsman Club, the Busti Sportsman Club, and the Ridgway Long Range Rifle Club.  He also enjoyed country music, hunting, fishing and boating.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ristau Bumbarger, whom he married on August 31, 1968, at the First United Methodist Church; one daughter,  Brenda Schwarz, and husband, Ethan, of Slippery Rock, PA; one son, Gregory Bumbarger, of Concord, NC; one sister, Donna Bumbarger, of Warren, PA; and three grandchildren, Trevor Bumbarger, Clark Schwarz and Amelia Schwarz.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA on Tuesday, September 9, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  The funeral will be held there on Wednesday, September 10, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Jon Swart, parish associate, officiating.
