It is with great sorrow that the family of Robert L. Kidd, announces his passing on October 24, 2022. Robert died peacefully at home after a brave battle and valiant struggle with cancer. Robert was born on July 30, 1957, in Charleston, WV, the son of the late Carolyn S. Kidd Champlan. He worked many years as a tool pusher on the oil rigs. After retiring from the oilfields, he started R-N-C Trucking in Williamsfield, OH. He travelled all over the United States and into Canada. Robert is survived by his wife, Carla J. Spear Kidd, whom he married in August of 2009; his children, Bobbie Headley (Sergeant First Class Brenton Headley) of Arlington, TX, Heather Betts of Cape Carter, NC, and Kelley Bowman of Linesville, PA, Nikki Kidd of Florida, Porscha Imperial of Santa Clarita, CA, and Christian Imperial of Warren, PA. He is also survived by his former wife, Connie Kidd of Ravanna, OH; brothers Lorn Champlan, Russell Champlan, Raymond Champlan, and sister Polly Sinn. In addition to five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Everyone loved his quick-witted humor, fierce determination, and his generous spirit. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy. He loved camping, automotive restoration, and enhancing cars and trucks. He loved to help anyone and always lended a hand to those in need. He was an inspiration to all with his loving nature and joy in the simple things; and will be missed dearly. No services will be held at this time.
