Robert John Gatto Sr., 68, of Warren, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born on August 7, 1951, in Jamestown, NY, son of the late John J. Gatto and Josephine Alessi Gatto, who survives. Bob was a 1970 graduate of Falconer High School, attended Jamestown Community College and the Cleveland Drafting Institute. He was employed by RHI Monofrax, in Falconer, NY, as a supervisor for 41 years, from which he retired on July 31, 2013. He was also employed at Hectors Honda, in Falconer NY. Bob loved music and played the guitar and keyboard. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking and motorcycling, having owned more than 23 bikes in his adult life. He also loved to cook, snowmobile and spend time with his family. In addition to his mother, Bob is survived by his wife and High School Sweetheart, Diane Lee Mead Gatto, whom he married on March 24, 1973; one son, Dr. Robert J. Gatto Jr. and wife Alicia, of Warren; one daughter, Alyssa (Gatto) D'Bernado and husband Stephen, of Hoboken, NJ; his five grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as "Papa Bob", Gracie, Laney, Jude and Seth Gatto, and Lincoln D'Bernado; one sister, Joan Barton and husband Richard, of Ashville, NY; one uncle, Dr. Frank Gatto, of Jamestown, NY; his beloved sisters and brothers- in-law and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Bob was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Addie Gatto. Friends will be received from 2-5 PM on Sunday, September 8, 2019, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday, September 9, 2019, at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 600 Penna. Ave. W. Warren, PA 16365, with Rev. Rick Tomasone, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family has requested memorial donations be made to the Addie's Gift Foundation, 316 Conewango Ave. Warren, PA 16365 or the Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Ave. Warren, PA 16365.
