Robert W. "Butch" Fors, 71, of Sugar Grove, passed away surrounded by family at his home on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. Butch was born August 24, 1944, in Guitonville, PA. He was the son of the late Robert W. Fors, Sr. and Elnora (Hannah) Fors. Butch served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a psychiatric aide at the Warren State Hospital, retiring after 25 years, and later worked at InterElectric as a coating specialist. Butch was a very active member of the Hessel Valley Lutheran Church. He was also an avid outdoors man--spending his time hunting and fishing; he had also processed deer for the past twelve years. He is survived by his wife, Karen M. (Menard) Fors, whom he married September 12, 1964; three children, James Fors, and wife, Ivorie, Pittsfield, PA, Jennifer Hutchison, and husband, Michael, Bruin, PA, and Jeffrey Fors, and wife, Adrienne, Pen Argyl, PA; three siblings, Janet Cooper, and husband, Thomas, of Warren, PA, Merle Wingard, also of Warren, PA and , Carol Simons, and husband, Harold, of Tidioute, PA; his step-mother, Mary Fors, and step-sister, Ann Marie Fors, both of San Jose, CA. He also has six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Roberta Johnson; and step-father, Stanley Kozarski. Friends will be received at the Hessel Valley Lutheran Church, Brown Hill Road, Chandlers Valley, on Friday, September 25, from 5 to 8 p.m., and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there Saturday, September 26, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Nancy Schwanke, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Thompson Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Avenue, Warren, PA 16365. A benefit dinner that was previously scheduled for Thursday evening, September 24, from 4:30 - 6-30 pm at the Hessel Valley Church is still being held.
